Vehicle Description

This is a barn fresh 1928 Studebaker 4 door sedan with the famous Big 6 engine. The good news is that this is the most mechanically complete barn find I have seen. It even has the crank hole cover.

The wood frame skeleton is almost completely gone and the interior has long since deteriorated but there are several remnants of the frame and top bows for patterns. The seat frames and springs are all present. The engine is stuck but as far as I can tell nothing on this car has been removed or salvaged for parts.

It still has much of the origional glass with only the front and rear passenger side windows gone. The windshield has some cracks. The body is in fair condition but could be restored or good for restoration parts. Please check the pictures and ask any questions before the last day if possible. I can also e-mail any additional pictures of specific areas of concern. The entire drive-train is intact.

The bad news is that the wheels are present but the wood spokes are dryrotted. The floor boards are all gone and we have placed several pieces of wood above the doors to stabilize the body for shipping. The frame has had some repair in the area just behind the rear engine supports. I don't know about the gas tank but the bottom is not rotted out. Like the rest of the wood parts the running boards are missing; we have inserted one board for access to the body.
